Well, I do, apparently.

Goliath soars of the park’s entrance.
As I was leaving the park this afternoon, I decided I was going to take a little video of Goliath since it is right out in front, as seen in the above photo. I took a short video clip, then was told by security personnel that photos and videos cannot be taken outside the park; they can be taken inside it only. Quite a shock to me since I have probably taken at least 75 or so the past two weekends.
The first thing that goes through my mind is that it is a completely stupid and ridiculous rule, and tell that to the security guy who told me it. He then goes into a whole thing about how it is a necessary precaution because of the times we live in, aka with terrorist threats. He goes onto explain that the direct action of taking the photos is not the problem, but the fact that they’ll get out there on the Internet and could potentially be viewed by terrorists, is the problem. Since terrorists choose to just surf the Internet and find things and say “that would be a good thing to blow up,” and just use those photos as their only reconnaissance for their attack, photos and videos outside the park clearly endanger the entire Atlanta population. But photos you take inside are magically made terror proof as opposed to those you take right outside the entrance gate.
Overall, it is a stupid rule to enforce or even have. And if terrorists were planning to strike an amusement park, I’d think they go after bigger, world renowned target like Disney World.

Agreed, stupid rule, and should not even be there; I don’t think that terrorists surf the web and do that, but they just might.
Sounds like you’re enjoying your stay up there with your new camera.
Good review on front page, and great photos, keep up the good work!
