I was able to finish up at work early, so I decided to head out to Six Flags Over Georgia for a few hours. I arrived at the park about 2:00 pm on a quite hot Sunday. I immediately took out my camera and snapped a few shots as I headed towards the park’s entrance. I noticed Mindbender was down as a mechanic was on top of a section of track. It, however, was open again by the time I had gotten to Gotham to take some photos. One of my first observations was how uncrowded the park was. Most rides that I saw, besides Superman: Ultimate Flight and the water rides, had minuscule lines. I guess the heat kept the park from being too busy.
I spent my first two and a half hours in the park mostly taking area and midway shots. What I noticed going around the park was that it was not very crowded. About four o’clock, I took my camera back to my car, and then headed back into the park to get some rides on Goliath. Its line was very short, and shorter than any of my previous visits, as the line did not stretch down the stairs to the station. I was able to get five laps completed, one in the front row, in less than a hour. I then decided to head back on home and beat the heat.
From what I saw, Mindbender, Batman: The Ride, and Deja Vu were having some difficulties on a few occasions. I saw Deja Vu testing as I was leaving; when I had walked past it earlier, the entrance was chained off.
